Modern 1 MILLION USN Constitution's vs A lone Bismarck Battleship

The battle is in the english channel, the constitutions start just outside of the channel while the Bismark is within the channel surrounded by them. There is infinity fuel, resources, ammo and food for both parties. Who wins.

I give it to the Constitutions. The shear quantity of 24 pounders will weardown the Bismarck's hull. He simply lacks the fire power to sink them fast enough when they're closing from all directions.

Old Ironsides against Bismark, huh?

Draw. Bismark shoots all the Constitutions to the waterline but takes too much damage herself.

Bismarck loses as she is hemmed in and then boarded by the crews of the Constitutions. all 450,000,000 of them.

Even if they don't take the ship their total mass would be approximately 36 million tons which would sink the Bismarck purely through the weight of prime American seaman. 36 million tons of American seaman.

The Bismark can win here.

All it needs to do is simply sail away from the fleet approaching, as the Bismarck is faster (13 vs 19 knots) and then see who's supplies last the longest. Then it becomes a question of "who's supplies last the longest", which can be calculated.

btw, if they both go to land, the USN would have to get enough food for over 500 million people...with that current eras tech? I don't buy they can...

the consitutions are on both sides of the channel, so either way the bismark will run into half of them at least

That means Bismarck would need to force its way past at least a billion tons of wood, with another billion behind it. She has better engines but thats a lot of mass to push through, even if those ships are destroyed they'll leave a lot of debris. By ramming you also end up with ropes and hawsers getting tangled in the props which leaves her dead in the water. Then completely surrounded by wood filled with American Seamen coming for Bismarck.

bismark surrounded by hard wood and seamen? Sounds like a sticky situation.

Bismark uses the infinity fuel to flood the oceans and then lights a match.

Steel hull will get a bit toasty, but the wooden ships are so very dead.
