Did Israel have the incentive to attempt an ethnic cleansing of a neighboring population? Not really, considering the fact that the Palestinians writ large had no way to meaningfully threaten the existence of the State of Israel

Of course they have an incentive to do ethnic cleansing: religiously-motivated lebensraum.

There are plenty of footages of Palestinian fighters ambushing and blowing up Israeli vehicles, although I even did not expect it would adds up like this.

not surprising, apparently the Trophy APS is actively dangerous to nearby infantry (though it have been a known issue/trade-off since the Soviets deployed the first Drozds in Afghanistan), so tanks don't have infantry screens. And of course Israel cannot afford to keep large bodies of men in uniform out of the economy, for extended time ...

Which means you are open to ambushes, especially if the other side doesn't expect to survive it.

EDIT: although some of the comments claim to be from people in the Armored Corps, who say they had less issues with combat damage, than not having enough spare parts and ammunition. Which of course can still turn a Merkava into a 65ton door stop.

Just found out about this. A step in the right direction but it's just the beginning.

Maybe we should terraform the moons of Jupiter and Saturn and just deport the entire middle east there until they learn to behave
