Yeah, one of my issues with both games is that you cannot choose the position of the secondaries, so I've added the 6 inchers for secondaries and 4 inch DP autoloaders as tertiary guns. It's no Iowa, but downtimers won't notice the difference anyway. It's kinda maddening, though, the ships we designed in the Thirties under treaty limitations were wonders of balancing all constraints (Richelieu BB, Émile Bertin CL and Algérie CA) and not only did the treaties fell through, but the ships didn't get used anyway.
It really is a pity that RTW doesn't allow me to mix turrets, because that makes sense.
If I'm being chased, it's probably by a Battle Cruiser, so some lighter rear guns would perforate their armor. Seems like IRL, only fast ships can try for a rear approach anyway.
Now, if they could finally add ship to ship missiles, I could get a Zipang scenario with a Japanese DDG going back in time.
