A Star Wars WI: Which Ships would you buy ?

Ok, for this scenario we have to assume that our little Planet is located in the Star Wars Galaxy.

After gotten contact with the New Republic, the Nations of the World agreed on buying proper equipment
for defending this World against Agressors.

You are allowed to buy equipment from the most prominent Manufacturers this Galaxy has to offer.

Your Budget for the next three years:

2021: 759 Billion Credits
2022: 770 Billion Credits
2023: 800 Billion Credits

Note: 1 Dollar/Euro = 1 Credit

What ships and equipment would you buy ?
How many ships and equipment would you buy ?
From wich Manufacturers would you buy ?

Starfighters, escort carriers (can be modified from civilian transport), and a Corellian Corvette as a flagship.

You could buy a lot of ships with given budget...
For example:

A CR90 (new) costs around 3.500.000 Credits, a Ton-Falk-Class Escort Carrier (new) costs around 9.775.000 Credits.
A TIE/LN (new) costs 60.000 Credits, a TIE/rp Reaper (new) costs 140.000 Credits, a T-65 X-Wing (new) costs 149.999 Credits, a MC40a (new) costs 15.500.00 Credits, a MC80 Liberty Type (new) costs 104.000.000 and a Subjugator-Class Heavy Cruiser (new) costs measly 875.500.000 Credits.

Remember:

2021: 759 Billion Credits
2022: 770 Billion Credits
2023: 800 Billion Credits

Geez, they are a lot cheaper than I thought. And how did we got that money, considering that we are a poor, low-tech, backwater world?

EDIT: Still, my logic applies. We are not trying to conquer the Galaxy. So focus on the Starfighters and supporting ships. CR90 corvettes are really nice to have, considering how versatile they can be.

True....
Weapons for example are also quite cheap...

For example:

The iconic E-11 Blaster Rifle costs 1.000 Credits. It´s descendant the E-22 Blaster costs 1.500 Credits. The DH-17 Blaster Pistol costs 550 Credits. The DL-44 Heavy Blaster Pistol (Han Solo´s Gun) costs 750 Credits.
Also from the Point of Ammunition it´s a lot cheaper. A Standard Power Pack (100 Shots) costs 25 Credits.

As for Armor (Tanks) they are also quite cheap. A TX-130 Saber Tank (new) costs 85.000 Credits. This Tank can reach speed between 200 kph and 320 kph (based on the ground).

TBH, i would use the CR90 for Customs Duty and policing the System Border.

I kinkda sorta believe the exchange rate between the credit and the euro isn't exactly 1:1, then.

Even if you change the exchange rate, we still could buy quite some equipment and ships here.

Coffee and Cocoa...
We are one of the few worlds that produces the stuff.
We can make a fortune with this stuff.

Oh, right. I remember that chocolate is a rare luxury good in the GFFA.

I would also suggest Nebulon-B. Is the Assault Frigate available for sale too?

As per OP, you could/can buy from every major manufacturer of the Galaxy. Kuat, Sienar, Corellia Engineering, etc...

Which era are we talking about? If it's post-Battle of Endor I'd go with X-Wings, CR-90s and I dunno, Rendili Stardrive or Corellian Engineering capships.

Edit: KDY might be too expensive for Earth. Maybe after they're more used to starship operations?

6-8 Months Post-Battle of Jakku.

As defined in the OP, you can choose ANY MAJOR Manufacturer.

If post Battle of Jakku then I'm going with Incom for the fighters, Corellian Engineering for gunships/frigates and Rendili Stardrive for capital ships. With Rendili Earth might get it's own subsidiary shipyard since Rendili was noted to do that before.

Hmm, what CapShips does Rendili produce ??

Dreadnaught class battleship, the ones that comprised Fleet Katana. That said, it does need to be updated. Better reactors and more automation.

One reason why I mentioned Assault Frigate.

I would like to use those credits in not just buying ships and fighters, but also orbital stations, defense platforms, and other facilities necessary to maintain our fleet.

I would like to focus on small and medium ships, 900m at maximum length.

Starfighters are nice, make for good propaganda, and can pack quite a punch for their small size and cost. However, we are neither fighting insurgency like the Rebels, nor are we capable or inclined for TIE rushing like the Imperials. So, I think our Starfighters should have shields and heavy weapons, but Hyperdrives are secondary concerns.

After some checking various sources, as for me, i would choose some of the following ships:

Main Frontline Ship:

Dreadnought Class Heavy Cruiser, but upgraded with new computer systems and new Engines. Thus reducing the massive amount of crew normally needed for a ship of this type.

Escort Ship:

Nebulon B Frigate, but unlike the Version the Rebels used, i would used the following Version.

Carrier:

Quasar Fire Class Cruiser Carrier or Ton-Falk Escort Carrier.

Gunship:

Sphyrna-class Hammerhead Corvette.

Freighter:

YT-2000 Transport

Shuttle:

TIE/rp Reaper Attack Lander

Fighter:

Chiss Clawcraft, but modified. Either with more windows or a 360 Degree Screen around the pilot.

Atmospheric Fighter:

TIE/sk Striker.

Drone:

Tri-Fighter Droid, but with the option of remote controlling them instead of using them as a flying droid.
