Recently, multiple news outlets in China reports numerous incidents of illegal hunting, but this time using civilian-grade UAVs mounting advance optics.

In Shanxi province, a rancher posted on social media, that one of his horse was killed by a hunting arrow dropped by quadrotor UAV. The UAV operator claimed to be an accident, that he is hunting wild boars in the area, and mistaken the horse due to thick fog. The operator claimed willing to compensate the farmer, and local police has opened an investigation into this incident.

Again in Hunan province, a farmer reported more than 20 of his pigs were hunted by unknown UAV dropping steel darts. Police are still investigating this incident.

Also in Hunan province, police had arrested 2 men for illegal hunting of endangered animals, using quadrotor UAVs guided by infrared optics dropping hunting arrows from 30~50 meter height.
