Before this war people talk about how Russia heavy firepower will decimate Ukraine and just Smerch alone can win this war. So is the infamous Russian firepower way less effective than it should have been because they certainly use Smerch in Ukraine.

The Russian firepower is pretty much a pile of shit because they throw more explosives but everywhere, while NATO throws just what it needs precisely on the top of its targets.

Which, as I've noted before, has to do with how they've built their army. It's not an army meant for war, it's meant to bully. So it looks menacing on parade excels at smashing up civilian buildings at random in terror campaigns, but doesn't do well against any force that can actually fight back.

A little Update...
As i woke up a bit ago, the guy on the Radio reported that Germany wants to deliver Gepard to Ukraine.
Thinking that this mus be some kind of Joke, several Newsstation also confirming this.

Also because Russian firepower has a huge number of dud warheads.

WASHINGTON, March 25 (Reuters) - The United States assesses that Russia is suffering failure rates as high as 60% for some of the precision-guided missiles it is using to attack Ukraine, three U.S. officials with knowledge of the intelligence told Reuters.

The disclosure could help explain why Russia has failed to achieve what most could consider basic objectives since its invasion a month ago, such as neutralizing Ukraine's air force, despite the apparent strength of its military against Ukraine's much smaller armed forces.
Citing U.S. intelligence, three U.S. officials said the United States estimated that Russia's failure rate varied day-to-day, depended on the type of missile being launched, and could sometimes exceed 50%. Two of them said it reached as high as 60%.

One of the officials said the intelligence showed that Russia's air-launched cruise missiles had a failure rate in the 20 to 60% range, depending on the day.
So they are not only flinging ordnance around indiscriminately, but it often doesn't even work. Which just makes their efforts that much more inefficient. And now that they are up against an opponent large and strong enough to put up a serious fight that inefficiency is hurting them badly.

So even with all the recent stuff regarding Transnistria I can't imagine they being able to push anywhere since Ukrainian force in the west hasn't engage yet.

Doesn't mean they won't try though ...

Even if only because the whole op have been planned before war as usual, but they forgot to cancel it, when the situation changed (because you know, the responsible people got arrested, lol)

The think is Ukraine can't counter attack into Transnistria because it will technically violating Moldova territory so they will be quite a nuisance.

Maaaybe. In the other hand nothing stops them to trash the Russian positions in Transnistria or the local military if it gets ideas with artillery, then seal off the border. Transnistria has no strategic depth, sometimes not even tactical. They also have minimal heavy gear, most of it obsolete.

Regarding the sh*t happening in Transnistria/Moldova, i have a bad feeling about it.
Russia could see the events as a invitation to "protect" the Russians there....

As i had said before, this conflict is far from over...

TBH, i wouldn´t be surprised to see if some sh*t is happening in Kaliningrad.

ALOT of Russian Ammo and missiles are Soviet remnants.

40 year old plus crap tend to not go boom when you want it.

A little Update to your Post...
Russia has cut off Poland and Bulgaria from Gas.

I´ve just watched one of those "Interviews" they publish on YT, where they interview a Russian POW and then contact his relatives....

It´s really incredible how Brainwashed the Russian Population is...

Granted it is Propaganda, but still.

no idea. But cutting off Bulgaria is funny, as they are the only EU country besides Hungary to consistently deny any lethal support to Ukraine.

Are they refusing to supply gas at all?
Or just refusing to supply it for free?
They want payment for it - in rubles.

They're attempting to change the terms of the contracts they've signed, which involve payment in euros or dollars. The thing is, winter is over and their hand isn't anywhere near as strong as they delude themselves into thinking, especially as the infrastructure isn't there for Russia to fully switch customers and it definitely needs the non-Monopoly currencies to buy what it needs from abroad (aka pretty much everything).

The contracts set the payment in Euro or USD, Russia unilaterally changing the accepted currency is a breach of contract, and everyone except Hungary have been balked on it. With the caveat that Hungary still pays in Euro and it's the non sanctioned Gazprombank that does the actual exchange to rubles domestically in Russia.

And yes it's the usual impotent posturing, because reservoirs are far from empty, the consequences of this will come back to haunt Russia fir years, and they might discredit the pro-russian parties in Bulgaria too.

Eh posturing aside it makes certain sense for Russia to ask payment in Rubles since if I am not mistaken the payments in dollars or euro go to blocked or frozen accounts.

Ofc they are not gonna get their wish but they would be morons to keep selling for money they may never see
