FM9: Handbook of Russian Information Warfare

Aaron Fox

SB's Minor Junker Descendant and Hunter of Nazis
Author
Well, this little handbook/report was something that I've found recently, and it is a rather enlightening read. It specifically goes into what Russia used in it's memetic and cyberwarfare attacks in 2016 and beyond... a rather fascinating read especially the implications that it made...

Why were you banned on SB again? Lol

Concept: Why would Russian information warfare be much different from the US? When conducting operations like this, the rules of warfare aren't super different if the need is there. We can look at our waterboarding and use of drugs that lower inhibitions when it comes to suspected terrorists to know that is true and that's just the public stuff. (MKUltra)

In that any useful tricks that are leaked are just going to be added to the arsenals of the other countries, so why go to the hassle of finding out what RUSSIAN INFORMATION WARFARE is? The only idea I get from this would be the assumption the Russians were to be breaking human rights beyond the level of the US in the documents, but that's obviously not the case or they'd get pulled in-front of the ICJ for violation of international law.

Because clickbait exists for the people who write reports to their superiors too. Or for think tanks, which are an important money pumps of the DC ecosystem outside experts for the US military and intelligence community.

Correct. Though I don't think you can argue that actual academia is as clickbaity as like the Sun.

This stuff is creepily ideological and divorced from reality. "Russo-Ukrainian War" instead of "Ukrainian civil war."

Judging from Zelensky's record of dubious achievements, your statement sounds largely right. The third installment of the actual Russo-Ukrainian War is more than likely to appear in the news within 6-8 months, provided Zelts will stay on course and keeps on trying to squeeze the stupid prizes out of his custom-made idiot ball.
