The thing about Lenin was that he wasn't stupid, and it wasn't like the Blacks (the faction, not the skin color) weren't going to betray him anyway. He also tried to get things going in a more organic way with essentially 'limited/small-scale capitalism'.
If you want anyone that this guy would be sitting next to, it would be Trotsky, aka 'The Red Butcher'. Some of the things Trotsky did during the Russian Civil War is really grim reading, something that Stalin took for himself...
Oh no, Stalin shares a spot with Hitler because he hated pretty much anyone not Russian or Georgian and more or less carried out mini-holocausts out of paranoia. Mao is a whole different kettle, as he made mules look like they can compromise and was more willing to try to pull a Stalin when he didn't have the savvy or base to do it.
