Thanks to a certain Benefactor, our World fuses with Shadowrun Earth and Cyberpunk Earth, starting at 1st January 2023.....

Here are the Timelines starting 2023:

Shadowrun

Cyberpunk

However since the other Worlds are much more Advanced then us, in terms of Technology, Firepower etcc...., our Benefactor gives us 2 Boons.....

The first Boons, the People of our World are getting the Abilites of the Eden Virus, meaning 1000 Year Lifespan, advanced Regeneration Powers, highten Intellect and Perception, Fearless etcc....
The second Boon, the People of our World are getting the Abilities of a Cruiser Class Panzermensch.
It should be noted those Boons give us immunity to all the Bugs and Nasties these two other Worlds gives us.

So, what will happen from 2023 on ???

Note: It should be noted, that i´m totall tanked. Since i wanted to make this Thread for a long time, the Booze and the BBQ gave me the resolve to do it.

Er we start kicking all kinds of ass? Like seriously our average person can crush like 90% of anyone they meet from the other worlds and squad and platoon size units can fuck up most of the last 10%? Then we steal all the tech and upgrade ourselves more?

When everyone is armed like crazy, the result isn't exactly looking like a functional organized society. More like tons of violence, especially when the amount of firepower available natively for individuals demolish the notion of monopoly on legitimate force for the State, so expect warlordism and societal collapse soon enough.

Well yeah that pretty much given since its 3 world smooched together and two of them are horrible dystopia. But by and large our people should have good advantage at start and it will only get greater as they grab at tech and magic. When the other side needs anti tank weapons to even hurt you and you can laser face them or literally rip them apart? And thats if you just dont out think them.

You don't get what I said. These 'boons' would, by themselves, destroy our civilization better than any nuclear war, the other worlds are just details by then compared to the utter chaos caused by them.

One interesting aspect of this "Eden-Virus" is the so-called Virtue Effect. Meaning you couldn´t kill one cold-blooded. As long as you don´t cause life threatening injuries, you can injure and hurt someone.
One example, you could brake someone legs, arms, feet, hands, etc....

Ah, so... chaos, collapse of society AND torture.

Chaos, yes for a certain time.
Collapse of Society, no, maybe some upheaval.
Torture, no. Average Joe/Jane don´t go to the Neighbour to torture him/her. They are still the same. You would see broken bones in self defence...

Yes, collapse of society. The notion of State relies on the guarantee that only one actor can inflict legitimate violence to enforce their laws, which in turn relies on the exponential effectiveness of large structures compared to individuals and small groups when it comes to apply force, and historically, political entities grew as the capacity for control and enforcement of authority expanded through communication, logistics and specialization of workers including specialized soldiers and law enforcement who would be able to overpower violators thanks to the support of the logistical capability of the State.

You just removed this as there is very much no more superiority of the State system over individuals, just individuals more or less powerful but with state logistics no longer the decisive factor. Congratulations, you removed the reliability of legal systems, since it is no longer possible to effectively enforce laws. And you know what is only possible thanks to a working legal system? Contracts, fiat currencies, long-term planning, etc.

These can only work through trust, and trust doesn't come outside the monkeysphere unless there is a relatively impartial actor who can enforce rules and the given word. An actor that no longer exists.
