Modern WI: HMS Queen Elizabeth and her many, many sister ships...

On the 14th June of 1912, just as the British Admiralty was discussing about finalizing the designs of Queen Elizabeth-class Battleships, a strange old gentleman request an audience with the Admiralty. And his request was granted.

The old gentleman claimed to be a proud citizen of the Empire, and are willing to make his final contributions before his end.

Unbeknownst to the British Admirals, the old gentleman is actually R.O.B. (Random Omnipotent Being) in disguise.

With a single finger snap, 18 brand-new Battleships appeared moored near Muckle Flugga, Scotland.

These ships are almost exact copies of Queen Elizabeth-class Battleships, as per HMS Queen Elizabeth (00) in her January 1915 form, but with slight differences. They would have the exact armament and armor as the QE-class, but R.O.B. had taken the liberty of optimizing the ships' powerplant, propulsion and hull form.

The result: slight but noticeable improvements in freeboard and stability in rough seas; able to sustain a maximum speed of 28 knots under deep load; 5% improvement in overall fuel economy, and mean time between failure for all machinery had improved by 700% . And R.O.B. had done it with barely 1000 tons increase in the ships' tonnage.

And to simplify the efforts needed in maintaining these ships, R.O.B. had made every part in these ships interchangeable with each other, with each part not more different than 0.1mm deviation. And detailed drawings are given to the Admiralty to ensure they can make parts and shells in the long run.

Now with 18 sparkling brand new (and very fast) battleships for free, how would it......

  1. Affect the Pre-WWI Dreadnought Race?
  2. Affect the WWI naval actions? especially Battle of Jutland?
  3. Affect the Interwar politics? especially how would they survive the Naval Treaties?
  4. Affect the WWII naval actions? where now their age is showing? would we see QEs duel Bismarck?

Lol in other words the Brits get a I WIN EVEN HARDER button in a field they already held significant if not crushing superiority.

1. The Brits had already won the pre WW1 dred race in 1912. They knew it. The Germans knew it. Only pride prevented them from ouright admiting it.
The Brits almost doubling their dread fleet overnight would probably cause many a heart attack in the German admiralty but knowing the outright cultist grade morons populating much of the diplomatic and military higher up positions they would attribute it to jewish physics or some shit and just keep chugging along.

2. Naval actions.

You know frankly the question here is not what the Germans will do or try to do.

The issue is what the geniuses in the British Admiralty will get up to, if the war happens and starts dragging on, with the sudden overabundance of top tier ships and the HSF is no longer that scary and does its best impression of a turtle.

Would they actually try to force the Skagerrak and gain dominance in the Baltic? Try for shore bombardment of the extended German coastline and all its installations?

Hell can the QE clones in a addition to the existing Brit fleet enable them to do so?
